| TICKET SALES IN HIGH GEAR WITH OPENING NIGHT TWO WEEKS AWAY |
|
"YOU ARE EVERYWHERE!" exclaimed a recent ticket buyer while speaking with a ticketing hotline staff member. Indeed, with two weeks to go before opening night, ticket sales for Shen Yun’s upcoming shows at Lincoln Center are in high gear.
From posters surrounding Lincoln Center to banners lining Central Park West to billboard displays on Wall Street, signage proclaiming the return of Shen Yun has Manhattan abuzz. Adding to the excitement are creative kiosks setup in high-end retail spaces such as Bloomingdale’s, London Jewelers and Williams-Sonoma. The kiosks display introductory videos and photo collages offering shoppers a more in-depth look at the beauty, cultural depth and mastery of technique that have become the hallmark of Shen Yun’s performances.
"It’s not uncommon for people to just stop and stare," says Crystal Chen, a saleswoman at the Bloomingdale’s kiosk for Shen Yun ticket sales. "The introductory video provides an insight into the cultural depth of the show, and it really captivates people."
"It makes my job pretty easy," Ms. Chen says with a laugh. "I just have to tell them what seats are still available and how they can get tickets. The video and content in our brochures speak for themselves. This show really is an unforgettable experience, and I think people can sense that here."
